FlickrVault 1.0 is the first release under the FlickrVault name (the app was previously called Dlickr), for macOS on Apple silicon and 64-bit Windows.
Speaks your language
The desktop app is available in English, Japanese and German. It follows your system language automatically, and a globe menu in the title bar lets you switch at any time. The post-backup report is written in English and, when you use the app in Japanese or German, in that language as well.
Backup receipts
After every run FlickrVault writes a human-readable report — one at the destination root covering the whole run (with your remaining credit balance), and one inside each album folder listing that folder’s photos, what was saved, what was skipped and why.
Smarter resume and incremental backups
Each album folder keeps a small hidden manifest of what has been downloaded, keyed by Flickr photo ID. Re-running a backup skips photos you already have — even after you reorder an album or rename photos on Flickr — and never overwrites a file that is on disk.
A clearer download experience
- Redesigned download bar and a “Review your backup” dialog before anything starts.
- A pre-backup credit estimate, and a live credit countdown in the top bar as photos land.
- The pre-download stage is shown as it happens instead of a frozen 0% bar.
- Native macOS window controls; a custom title bar only on Windows.
Distribution
- macOS builds are signed and notarized; the app updates itself in place.
- Windows ships as an installer and as a portable zip that checks for updates and notifies you.
